Freelancing from Yorkshire -experience?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Rent is about $1,713/month for a decent place. The weather takes some getting used to. Should I be concerned? Cheers. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if community vibe matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to LA it's tough.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from San Francisco about 6 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
