Been meaning to ask this. Just moved here 7 months ago and Crime rate is something to consider -Yorkshire sits at 132.4 per 100K. Median household income is $107,283, which feels pretty solid for the area. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Let me know your thoughts.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a project manager who relocated here from Atlanta about 11 years ago. The main reasons were school and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are wild, gas is better than expected.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Portland it's hit or miss.

I've lived in North for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Active local events and festivals
- The public transit scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Happy to answer more specific questions..
