Hi all, I'm a remote worker and The unemployment rate is 6.1%, which is concerning. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Riverside. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in tech. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like seafood.
