What Youngstown does better than anywhere else
Hey everyone, I'm a college student here and Poverty rate is 30.9%, which is higher than I expected. Homes are going for about $58,400 on average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Does this match your experience? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
