Moving to Yucaipa with kids -good idea?

Alright, It's a a smaller city city with about 54,348 people. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Any help is appreciated. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Cedar Grove. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in education. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Hope this helps!.
