Anyone regret moving to Yulee?

Anyone else feel this way? The median home value here is around $278,200, which seems about average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Has anyone dealt with this? Looking forward to hearing from you all. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Chicago about 2 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
