So, I'm a 27-year-old physical therapist and Median household income is $62,546, which feels about average for the area. With a population of 98,461, Yuma is a smaller city. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Anyone in a similar situation?

I work in engineering here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is tough. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a teacher who relocated here from Atlanta about 4 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is average.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.
