Cost of living reality check -Yuma

So, The median home value here is around $209,100, which is actually reasonable. The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I overthinking this? The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Public transit is excellent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Phoenix about 7 years ago. The main reasons were school and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Feel free to reach out with questions..
