Honest thoughts on life in Zebulon

My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $275,400, which seems about average. Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. You can expect to pay around $1,038 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Any advice would be great. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely better than expected and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (South) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely better than expected and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (East) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much established but now it's underrated.
