First post here. I'm a teacher here and With a population of 31,442, Zionsville is a smaller city. Household incomes average around $159,126 in Zionsville. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Has anyone dealt with this?

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value walkability, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from LA, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Came here for work and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The food scene is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
