Is Zuni Pueblo getting better or worse?

Curious what people think. Poverty rate is 34.1%, which is higher than I expected. The median home value here is around $79,200, which is actually reasonable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What are your go-to spots?

I work in real estate here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is tough. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Came here for family and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The public transit is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much established but now it's better than expected.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Pine Hills. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in real estate. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in East for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The school system scene is improving

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The pet-friendliness is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

Came here for retirement and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The traffic is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
