Housing in Albany compared to Pittsburgh

With a population of 100K, Albany is a mid-size city. The unemployment rate is 5.3%, which is about average. Homes are going for about $223,000 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Albany sits at 757.0 per 100K. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Has anyone dealt with this? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much competitive but now it's hit or miss.
