Anyone else feel this way? We have two kids and Rent is about $1,178/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 5.3%, which is about average. The median home value here is around $223,000, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 13.1%, which is around average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Has anyone dealt with this? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
