Things Albany needs to improve

My family moved here when I was a kid. Homes are going for about $223,000 on average. Household incomes average around $59,485 in Albany. The unemployment rate is 5.3%, which is about average. You can expect to pay around $1,178 for rent here. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I overthinking this? I've lived in Downtown for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- The healthcare scene is improving

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
