My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much wild but now it's pretty good.

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The healthcare is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Uptown area are improving. Kids love it here.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a data analyst, 48, moved here 1 years ago from Minneapolis. I've lived in Midtown and Westside, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Good schools in most areas
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally pretty good - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Urban sprawl is real
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The food scene situation is established and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Midtown: Great for families. improving vibes, walkable.
- Westside: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Minneapolis, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $90K-$150K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Bought a house here in 2017 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone about the same since then.
