Is Alton a good place to live?

Hey, Military spouse here. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The healthcare is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
