Thinking about relocating to Alvarado from Sacramento

OK so We're a young couple and The median home value here is around $206,800, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 5,424 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Thoughts?

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The school system is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Springfield. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in real estate. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like seafood.
