Andalusia is underrated, change my mind

Hello, Rent is about $925/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 1,073 people. Median household income is $72,589, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Should I be concerned? Appreciate any input. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The dating scene is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Westside. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's exactly what I was looking for. Definitely worth checking out..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in West. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely pretty good and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Fairview) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I work in manufacturing here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is challenging. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Hope this helps!.
