Best hidden gems in Arlington

Alright, Crime rate is something to consider -Arlington sits at 74.5 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 46,015 people. Rent is about $2,043/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What would you do? The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Bought a house here in 2024 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 4 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is tough in most areas.
