Biggest downsides of living in Asbury Lake?

Hi all, With a population of 13,465, Asbury Lake is a small town. Household incomes average around $100,681 in Asbury Lake. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. What are your go-to spots? The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Cedar Grove. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Definitely worth checking out..
