Living in Asbury Lake -the reality

Born and raised here. Average temperature is around 71--F, so it's warm year-round. The unemployment rate is 0.7%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 1.0%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Thanks in advance! The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 8 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The healthcare is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is housing market. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
