Things Aurora needs to improve

Longtime lurker here, The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $46,855 in Aurora. The suburbs are where most families end up. Should I be concerned? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in Old Town for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good airport with direct flights
- Diverse dining options
- The school system scene is average

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.
