Been meaning to ask this. Poverty rate is 8.6%, which is pretty low. With a population of 39,372, Aventura is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $416,300 on average. Rent is about $2,423/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Let me know your thoughts. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Charlotte about 15 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is average.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the South side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.
