Top 5 things I love about Aventura

I'm a remote worker and Homes are going for about $416,300 on average. With a population of 39,372, Aventura is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $416,300, which is pretty steep. You can expect to pay around $2,423 for rent here. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Pros:
- Good schools
- Strong sense of community
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Rising rent prices
- High property taxes
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Far from major airports

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely tough and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is walkability. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.
