OK so We have two kids and Household incomes average around $50,417 in Avonmore. Rent is about $750/month for a decent place. Median household income is $50,417, which feels on the lower side for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Worth the trade-offs? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. No regrets on my end..

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Houston it's solid.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
