Hello, My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 27,181, Balch Springs is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,260/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 4.9%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
