Best neighborhoods in Balch Springs

Random thought, My family moved here when I was a kid. The unemployment rate is 5.6%, which is about average. Household incomes average around $70,528 in Balch Springs. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Cheers. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 9 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

I've been here 12 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is challenging.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
