Is it worth buying in Balch Springs?

Hey, Homes are going for about $208,200 on average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Let me know your thoughts. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
- The dating scene scene is solid

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Happy to answer more specific questions..
