Grocery stores in Baldwin -recommendations?

I'm a 37-year-old software engineer and You can expect to pay around $946 for rent here. Poverty rate is 30.0%, which is higher than I expected. Homes are going for about $127,000 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Baldwin sits at 42.4 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Thoughts? The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 13 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..
