Is Bardstown worth moving to in 2026?

Crime rate is something to consider -Bardstown sits at 113.3 per 100K. Median household income is $49,781, which feels on the lower side for the area. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development.

The food scene here is better than expected. Tons of great Indian places. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from LA about 13 years ago. The main reasons were school and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Rising rent and home prices

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is pretty good.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.
