Been meaning to ask this. Military spouse here. Poverty rate is 5.2%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $2,320 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Any advice would be great. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
