Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Eastside for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The job market scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. Good luck with whatever you decide..
