Grocery stores in Basehor -recommendations?

Hello, I'm a remote worker and Median household income is $106,325, which feels pretty solid for the area. Household incomes average around $106,325 in Basehor. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. Thoughts? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely solid and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Highland) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Houston, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The healthcare is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
