What's it really like living in Baton Rouge?
Been meaning to ask this. I'm originally from Seattle and Poverty rate is 18.6%, which is higher than I expected. You can expect to pay around $1,044 for rent here. Rent is about $1,044/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $224,500, which is actually reasonable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Let me know your thoughts. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
