Remote worker thinking about Beaver

OK so Military spouse here. Crime rate is something to consider -Beaver sits at 71.9 per 100K. Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 1.3%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Has anyone dealt with this? Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 11 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
