Curious what people think. What are your go-to spots? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The cost of living is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Meadowbrook area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from LA about 13 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is decent.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Hope this helps!.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Denver about 11 years ago. The main reasons were work and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not very walkable outside downtown
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are growing, gas is solid.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Definitely worth checking out..

Used to live on the Cedar Grove side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.
