Is it worth buying in Bemiss?

Random thought, I work in government and You can expect to pay around $1,408 for rent here. The median home value here is around $196,500, which is actually reasonable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Cedar Grove. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in finance. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Italian.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.
