Biloxi is underrated, change my mind

Hi all, Military spouse here. It's a a smaller city city with about 49,011 people. With a population of 49,011, Biloxi is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,051/month for a decent place. Median household income is $55,958, which feels about average for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Good schools
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- High property taxes
- Boring for young people
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Limited cultural events
Has anyone dealt with this? Looking forward to hearing from you all. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to San Diego it's excellent.
