Cost of living reality check -Biloxi

Crime rate is something to consider -Biloxi sits at 407.1 per 100K. Median household income is $55,958, which feels about average for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Worth the trade-offs? The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to Phoenix it's solid.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The healthcare is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 9 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into running, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.
