Anyone else love living in Birmingham?

OK so We're a young couple and You can expect to pay around $1,047 for rent here. Median household income is $44,376, which feels on the lower side for the area. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Nashville about 13 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Four distinct seasons
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is tough.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'm a sales manager and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.
