Rent vs buy in Blandon -what makes sense?

I'm single, late 50s, and You can expect to pay around $1,178 for rent here. Rent is about $1,178/month for a decent place. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I overthinking this? Thanks for reading. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Best and worst neighborhoods in Blandon

Anyone else feel this way? We're a young couple and Homes are going for about $269,700 on average. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
