Is Blauvelt still affordable?

Just moved here 10 months ago and Rent is about $2,283/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Blauvelt is underrated, change my mind

Longtime lurker here, Homes are going for about $629,000 on average. Any advice would be great. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
