The median home value here is around $424,200, which is pretty steep. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I'm a electrician and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from LA about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited high-paying job options
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is pretty good.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
