Not sure if this has been asked before, but My family moved here when I was a kid. Crime rate is something to consider -Bradley sits at 269.7 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is underrated in most areas.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Fairview. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in legal. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Korean.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Moved here from Boston about 9 years ago. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Still getting used to community vibe but It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Westside. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like seafood.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.
