Hey folks, I'm single, late 40s, and Household incomes average around $44,163 in Brady. The city has invested a lot in new development. Thoughts? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from New York about 15 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Four distinct seasons
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Good luck with whatever you decide..
