Housing market in Brecksville right now

I'm a teacher here and Household incomes average around $126,888 in Brecksville. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Came here for retirement and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The school system is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- The traffic scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 11 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. No regrets on my end..

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The public transit is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Used to live on the Fairview side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
