Housing in Bridge City compared to Los Angeles

Curious what people think. I'm a college student here and Household incomes average around $55,728 in Bridge City. The unemployment rate is 7.7%, which is concerning. Rent is about $1,306/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly....

Anyone else love living in Bridge City?

So, We're a young couple and The median home value here is around $119,800, which is actually reasonable. The city has invested a lot in new development. Has anyone dealt with this? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
