OK so Homes are going for about $246,600 on average. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $111,140, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 0.8%, which is pretty low. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thoughts? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cultural scene. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a contractor who relocated here from Baltimore about 2 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is excellent.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The walkability is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
