Hey everyone, Median household income is $57,545, which feels about average for the area. Household incomes average around $57,545 in Broad Creek. It's a a small town city with about 1,963 people. Rent is about $747/month for a decent place. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Should I be concerned? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Came here for family and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The public transit is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Bought a house here in 2024 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in South for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Affordable housing options
- The nightlife scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great Southern places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the Sunset side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.
