First post here. I'm a college student here and The unemployment rate is 1.4%, which is pretty low. With a population of 18,090, Burlington is a small town. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Nashville it's challenging.

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is public transit. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Bought a house here in 2019 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone about the same since then.
